2 weeks into my first release

If only things were as simple as getting on the radio. This new era of making and distributing music is like a double-edged sword, but if the sword somehow was the most extreme of everything. Music has been democratized, but in the American capitalism sense that even non-humans are getting in the game. Begin able to say, “I’m releasing my debut single,” gives me the tingles even as I sit and think to write it here. Then I’m hit with the reality that it essentially means nothing.

I looked up “how to create an AI music video” yesterday. It wasn’t very helpful. I want to create something real, and I just don’t see how to do that with the current tools available to me, or with my limited skillset. What was interesting, however, was the number of videos that weren’t just, “here’s how to make a music video,” but rather, “here’s how to make a music video, using an AI generated song we can create in just a few short minutes.” I can see the trap, I can see the bait, I’m aware of what awaits, and yet I continue…
